[Jacob-list] re. choking ewe

It's okay.  Ewe has managed to clear her throat but what does one do normally when this happens.  I have had one of my shetlands recently choke also on grain.  I patted her back like I did my infants years ago but it was just instinct.  It makes me nervous about graining even my ewes who are lactating.  Many thanks.   Pam
