We got one of those but if you have a 4 horned ram
they take a lot of adjustment. The older the ram, the
more difficult it is to get on. Also our ram was very
clever and learned how to look sideways and still aim
toward everything accurately. He is now up on the
wall in the livingroom. Our solution was to focus on
a ram that came from a calm line and that solved the
problem. We did notice recently as the days get
shorter and he is now 2, he is a little more rammy but
nothing like the first ram who was agressive from 4
months on. If the ram is not as perfect as possible
it would never get near my girls and especially if it
has a destructive tendency. We are both handicapped
and I will not mess with an agressive sheep or one
that wants to dismantle anything. It was too hard to
build what we have. If you want to keep him I agree
,keep him as a wether but I understand that is really
a trauma on an adult ram to be chopped. Victoria
