We recently acquired 2 gelded llamas which had been proven as guard animals 
with other llamas.  So far, we have been extremely please with their work.  
As mentioned not all llamas will guard other animals.  Our llamas co-exist 
with Muscovy ducks and our Jacobs.  We are aware of coyotes in our vicinity, 
but have not had any losses.

It is advised to acquire gelded llamas or older females that are not used 
for breeding, otherwise the females will be focused on their crias.
