I had a ewe bloat from the spring grass lush. There is also a problem
called grass tetany, but that is more of a chemical imbalance. The sheep
stumbles around and it can be fatal. I treated her for both problems. I
have a product called Carmalax that I got from the local vet clinic store.
It is a ruminant antacid, laxative and has magnesium which helps get over
the grass tetany. She recovered. If you can't get this stuff, others have
used Pepto-bismol with success. It helps stop the bloat and contains
magnesium to treat any grass tetany.
Hope she recovered, I am on Jacob-list so I hope it isn't too late. How do
I get off the Digest and on to receiving each post?? I need my password,
how can I get it?
Thanks, Cathy
