hello everyone!
i was on here asking about lamb kits and the rest back at the end of april
and never returned comments when my girls lambed as i was off to work in
africa a few days after that. all went well. the two girls had two big
twins each and these were sucking within 5-20 mintes each, piece of cake.
well the mailman came over and banded the three boys (they are all for the
freezer so boys are good) the day before i left, i came home after a month
and found they were all healthy and growing like weeds. i managed to grab
one and have a loko at him and noticed that the sack was still on, there was
a cut in the skin just above the band, no bleeding or sing of irritation
just a slice in the skin. should they not have dropped off by now? what
should i do?

also what about feeding? i have not changed their feeding yet they still ge
their 1 pound of grain a day (the moms) the lambs are all nibbling at the
grass. When do i cut back on the grain and when shoudl they wean
themselves? is it worth creep feeding the lambs? i have an endless supply of
grass but will they get as big without the grain? i could put them onto
alfalfa pasture occassionally.

thanks all!
Tom
