    A friend of mine who raises lots of sheep once told me..... a down 
sheep is a Dead sheep.  So when ever I have had a sheep down I at least 
have used props to keep her up.  Another friend even had her build a 
slung to help.  My understanding is, if they are on there side or back 
for long, other complications can arise.  Vit B has been a miracle drug 
for us this year.  We use injectable and start getting improvement 
within 3 hours.  I have found that the skin at the point of injection 
usually looses it's wool a couple of days later.  Keep us posted.  Do 
you know if the ewe consumed anything poisonous?
