Chris,
   One of the first things you want to do is learn
about the seed companies.  One year we seeded and got
really evil weeds that had never been there before and
not even in the neighborhood.  I know it was not the
sheep hay because the sheep had never been on this
particular area before seeding.  Another year hardly
any seed came up.
   The problem with bad seed is that the weeds grow
faster than the good seed you are planting.  It has
taken us 3 years of hand weeding to get out the
thistle and stinging nettles.  By the way sheep do not
like these weeds either.
   So can list people recommend a good seed company
that has not added noxious weeds to a pasture?
