I work at the local public library and recently one my fellow librarians
brought one of our new acquisitions straight to me and said she thought
I might like to read it first! I finished it last night...actually this
morning about 3 a.m.! The title is: "The Dogs of Bedlam Farm: An
Adventure with 16 Sheep, 3 dogs, 2 donkeys and Me" written by Jon Katz.
Has anyone else read this book yet????

While more of a dog tale than a sheep story, it is still a very
enjoyable read. In search of answers in the late middle years of his
life, the author relocated to a small farm in upstate New York, then
acquired the flock of sheep and donkeys. The book describes many of
his experiences with the animals, challenges he faced, valuable lessons
learned, and is material most of us can relate to readily. Those who
have border collies should particularly enjoy the book...the dogs are
the love of his life, but it is definitely more than "just a dog story".

I liked the lambing chapter the best(of course!), but it was a neat
story, cover to cover.
I now think we might just need a border collie someday! :)
