Hi Gillian,
Interesting question.  I have been noticing it also.  I have three lambs
together, two are wethers and about 6 months old.  The little ram lamb,
still intact, is about 5 months old.  I noticed his voice became deeper
about a month ago.  The two wethers still have there cute little high
pitched lamb voices.  So I guess the little ram lamb can't try out for the
Vienna Boy's Choir, but my two wethers still can <G>.
