I've seen the back up and gentle clicking of horns among ewes. It's a different sort of behaviour than when two ewes
are establishing dominance. Probably is just re-establishing a friendship.

Weather and the time of year we introduce the rams to the ewes seems to play a part in how quickly breeding goes.
We've put them together in the heat of summer (August) and breeding didn't occur until a month later. When I put an
adult ram with adult ewes in October - lambing occurs 5 months later with a less than three week spread. Junco is a
six year old - he's been doing this awhile - and he's funny to watch. The ewes come in heat, he breeds them, he goes
back to eating and seldom looks at them again.

Since Junco left, I've divided his girls between the two baby rams (with a period between, of course). The rams sniff
their new girls - back end - curl their lips and wander off.
