Hi all,

You can also have cleared out the parasites, but the
damage they did can kill the animal weeks after you
got the little buggers. My vet has warned me several
times to watch the ewes that have anemia caused by
parasites.....and has said that the sheep should be
watched closely for a month or more to assure they
have truly gotten past the insult to their body and
have recovered.

I was really glad to hear that Cathy's girl was
better! It is worrisome when a sheep is not doing
well and you can't seem to understand what is the
problem.

My Maine girls are doing much better as regards coming
up to talk. I have them in with a group of 10 other
girls---some of whom really love to grab grain from
hands. Ziporrah will come and sniff the grain in my
hand, but has yet to nibble. Miriam is much more
watchful---Both girls and the ram have discovered the
joys of grain, though, at feeding time. They dive in
with as much gusto as the rest of the flock.

I should have really neat lambs in the spring. I am
using Swallow Lane Shakespeare, Puddleduck Sir James,
Bryn Gweled Beau, Huntsberger's Hunter, and ISeeSpots
Marwon. I am seeing girls cycling time and again in
Sir James' group, so am not sure if he is having
problems in his old age settling girls or what might
be happening.

Better close for now. One of these days, I will get
my site updated and all my sheep on there....One happy
day!!!
