[Jacob-list] Ewe Off Feed

A ewe that came here about a month ago, and who transitioned very well
to a small, measured, daily grain ration, has been refusing it for the
past several days. On Sunday she walked away from her share after only
a few bites, and since then she has shown no interest in it.

She does not act like a sick sheep....she seems alert and does not
exhibit any other symptoms other than refusing the grain. The only
daylight hours I am here are in the morning prior to leaving for work
I went out and observed her several times today and she was nibbling at
grass or hay with the others. She does not dive in to the fresh hay
when it is put out like the others do, but has not stopped eating entirely.

Our sheep typically race to the feed troughs and dive in for their
share, so this is unusual. Since she is acting fine in all other
respects, I was not too concerned the first day or two, but it is a
departure from the norm and I don't want to be overlooking something
that may be a problem brewing. Any ideas or advice?
