[Jacob-list] tail length

I have been asked by David Kinsman, who wrote the book 'The Black Sheep of Windermere', to ask for information from Jacob breeders.
Have any of you ever had cause to count the number of vertebrae in a Jacob tail?  As a long-tailed breed they should have 20+, but David would like to know exact  counts please.
