Yes Linda, yars and yars ago!!  This was back in the 80's when I was 
working with Tunis.  I did get several Tunis ewes with 4 functional 
teats, but I could never pass this condition on genetically.  The 
British were working along the same lines and apparently were successful 
genetically with Cambridge Sheep.  Dr. Clair Terrill, the sheep 
specialist at the USDA and I were working on this together.  Clair was 
most enthusiasitic of the genetic and economic values of a functional 
4-teated sheep, especially of those breeds which traditionally give 
birth to multiple lambs.  Oh to be young again with all the accumulated 
experience and ideas that come only with age!!  Dr. Terrill passed away 
a couple of years ago, and I am now relegated to the sidelines!
