Betty,

Bad science or bad bureaucracies are not what I was asking about
there was an article in the JSC Journal showing the genetics of susceptible
and non susceptible sheep. I removed your letter to me for a lack of knowledge
of your desire to have it posted to the list.

Koch's postulates quite clearly state, material from an infected animal
inoculated in a healthy animal causes disease. Material from a healthy
animal inoculated in a healthy animal does not cause the disease. When
the causative agent is known the same rules apply, the agent causes the
disease, the non agent, doesn't. If there is a genetic component, destroy
the sensitive animals, not the resistant ones. PROVIDED THE SCIENCE
IS ACCURATE.

The logic of feeding brains to herbivores escapes me. Better to feed that
material to our dogs at the top of the food chain rather than to our main staple.
Which ignorante executive came up with that idea? It has been known
for a great many years, don't eat brains, there is a big unknown risk there.

Again, how much stock can we place in the science that we
know the genetic sequence of the susceptible vs. resistant animals?

Gary
