Don't be afraid to try to shear. I bought a metal
shearing stand from sydell with short head attachment
and used FISKARS dressmaking shears and a smaller pair
for around private areas and neck to shear my ladies &
gents last year.  This year I have 9 to shear. I plan
to use the scissors again!

Jacobs are great friends and very amusing! Came home
this afternoon from trip to post office to find one of
my ewes and her twins eating from the hayroll. 
Hayroll is on other side of fence. Cute part was that
one of her twins had climbed THROUGH the field fence
(where older sheep had stretched it to reach the
perfect morsel of hay) and was happily standing IN the
hayroll munching away. Will try to get a picture, too
cute!
