[Jacob-list] Christmas Gifts

I have a wooden one I bought from Lehman's Hardware in Kidron, OH. (They
have a website too) It was around $8 and I use it most for catching lambs
and occasionally smaller ewes. I just get pulled around by bigger sheep
though.
The main problem with the wood is that if you leave it in the barn exposed
to dampness, it seems to lose a bit of the curve of the hook over time.

We are new shepherds, and enjoying every minute of it.
For Christmas I am considering giving my husband a shepherd's crook. I
can't find one locally, but have seen a few on the Internet.
I would be very interested in hearing from the list as to what type is
best (metal, wood, fiberglass?) and any feature you think might be important
(length, type of hook, etc.) I want something that will actually be used,
but be nice as well. It's so nice to have people to ask! Thanks!
