[Jacob-list] ryegrass

One of the grasses that has adapted well here is perennial ryegrass. I think there is an awful lot of variation in the South. The difference between the soil here and our new place (just 3 miles apart) is quite startling. Alfalfa grows well in the next county north and the next county south, but does poorly in my county. Around here, the difference in soil types, elevation, and rainfall in a relatively small area make it hard to determine just what will do well. I'm kinda the sort that tries alot of different mixture until I find something that works. Kinda like raising Jacobs!
