[Jacob-list] another site

to explore is www.attra.com (I think).  It can be accessed, if you don't find it through that reference through a site called www.lilybrookfarm.com, a local grass farmer, who also has interesting things to say about grass vs. grain.  Also, www.bramblehillfarm.com, a Mass. place with interesting comments on grass vs. grain.

None of these sites, however, are basically fleece sheep oriented, and I'm still wondering.  I do know that both a freind and I, both of whom raise jacobs, and those who help us at shearing, seem to notice a difference in the fleece with the addition of organic, whole grains; corn, soybeans, and oats, but I don't know what specifically made the contribution, or if it was in the mineral mix that I mix with the grain.  I don't feed out wery much grain at all.  No more than 1/4 cup per animal until just a couple of weeks before lambing, and max l/2 cup from then on til a month after lambing, then reduced again.
