Hi all,

A member of the JSBA called me last night to get the word out about 5 ewes
he is really wanting to sell rather than send for meat. He has had rather
small Jacob sales (huge Cotswold sales) and needs to cut back on the number
of Jacob sheep he runs.

This is somebody who has been registering his sheep regularly (although
sounded like he is getting so fed up with slowed down paperwork he may not
continue that much longer), and my understanding is that these ewes are
registered with JSBA.

These ewes are 97 and 98 ewes. He said he will sell 1, 2, 3, 4, or all
5----anybody interested in all 5 would get a "real deal". I do not know his
asking prices.

When I took a look at his flock a few years back, he had 30-40 Jacob sheep
and only one in the batch had 2 horns. Almost no split eyelids or fusing in
his flock. Forward tilting horns are a rarety. He has kept records of
pedigrees and backgrounds on these sheep. Flock health appears to be
there---doesn't lose sheep or have lambing/lactation issues suggestive of
incidious disease taking place.

Grahame Ruddock is in the Shenandoah Valley in the northern half of VA. No
e-mail to my knowledge. Phone works well 540 377 2784
