[Jacob-list] No Horns

Hi everyone, I am enjoying hearing about all the new babies. Ours will not be until the 15th of April.
We have had 10 of our ewes seperated for 8 weeks and just moved them back together today. Our Ram is not to happy, needless to say. Only reason to move them back is that I wanted the bulk of the herd together.
I have a question for you all, one of my twin ewes born last May has never developed any horns at all, the top of the head looks like there are two cowlicks, but I can't feel any nubs of a horn. Is this normal? She and her twin are smaller than other lambs we have had other years. I figured that is because of our fire in March. All my lambs were smaller and half were still born. All of the ewes and the Ram were from Sheep we got from the Nortons in Decorah, so I know they are of good lines, I just had not heard anyone talk about having sheep without some kind of horn.

Thanks, Lou Anne Thompson in S.W. Iowa
