[Jacob-list] assisted birth question

Hi, I was called to go help a neighbor with a lambing problem, as no vets
were available (again). after much work we managed to deliver a suffolk
ewe lamb. Heres the problem. I went "back in" to check for a twin which I
thought was there...I couldnt find it! I had my arm in up to my elbow,
everything was soft and squishy, I didnt feel any lamb bones or body. I
thought the lamb we had out must have been turned in a circle presenting
the back feet and front feet. I did have to push the lamb back in to get
it coming out straight, anyway the neighbor called a few hours later to
say the ewe had another set of feet sticking out and she managed to pull
it out but it was dead. Im wondering where the heck was that other lamb
hiding!!!!  I feel bad cause she lost it, but I am used to finding the
second lamb right there when you reach in. Has anyone else had this
experience? Kathy
