[Jacob-list] another horny question

  I have had lambs, especially ewe lambs, that have
had beautiful 4 horns and then at about 3 months of
age the side horns would start to shrivel up and fall
off and there would be a shorter-larger horn growing
inside of it. On other lambs the side horns would
continue to grow and never shrivel up. Obviously the
ones that never shrivel up would be better to keep for
breeders as far as horns go, but what causes this? I
hope everyone on the list has an opinion. Carl.
