The response to the request for preregistration for the 2001 JSBA Meeting
has been underwhelming, and the hosts, George and Marilyn Brown, are getting
nervous.  The Browns have planned food, accommodations and entertainment
much at their expense; Robin Lynde has planned a wool show; and a full
schedule of expert presentations have been arranged.  Individuals planning
to attend the meeting are asked to preregister by the May 12 deadline.
Unless the number of attendees increases, downsizing in what's been planned
for the meeting will be essential.

JSBA and non-JSBA members alike are invited.  The meeting is scheduled for
June 9 in Lodi, CA.  Information is available in the winter JSBA Newsletter
or can be obtained by sending a request to gbanderson at ucdavis.edu.  The
meeting is an excellent opportunity for people interested in Jacob sheep to
exchange ideas and information.  California DOES have electricity, and
attendees will enjoy the program that has been arranged from them.  Please
consider attending, and send in your preregistration materials!
