Had a long discussion with Bill Jones the other night - he had around 25
lambs from the Leseau/Leseau-cross flock - he says all of the ewes as VERY
nice and the rams were all bad - every one culls from bad horns to very
quilted wool. My advice was CULL, CULL, CULL - he still has two pure rams
to go back on. Said he had around 60 plus lambs fromt the Hescock, Leseau,
flocks. Glad to see someone trying to conserve, preserve the old, pure
flocks - to me it is very important to do this - something that every
serious breeder should at least give more than a passing thought to. He
found another pure flock out there also - one of the old Canadian breeders -
forgot the name but he is getting it also.

I gave him some Marans last year and he wants more - says he is coming this
way after his trip to Turkey if I can let him have some more -

Patrice, forgot her last name, from Northern Ga has bought my whole flock of
Jacobs - hard to give up in one way and a relief in another - found someone
who will at least try to keep some of the old breedings intact -
