I've never used a sheep cradle but have seen them.  They seem to be pretty 
efficient.

I found a used book last year at SAFF called Sheep Housing and Equipment 
Handbook.  It's put out by Midwest Plan Service and is a real wealth of plans 
for every type of shepherding equipment you could imagine - including plans for
two sheep tables.  

I don't know if the book is still in print, but if so, I really recommend it.
