Mike and I had had in recent months an interesting email conversation, and I'd been looking forward to seeing him on my next run up there.  I'm so sorry.

He was a close friend of mine for decades. Holding a PhD from Harvard he could be counted on to discuss the most erudite of topics. I am sad to hear of his passing.

Madlon called to tell me that Mike passed last night. He had suffered Leukemia this past year. I will post funeral services.
