I have not given up. I just tread water. Life has passed me by and there
are no more challenges facing me. I just watch the world around me and
marvel at the stupidity that abounds. Yes I don't listen to the foodies and
have a deathly diet but I enjoy the diet and am too lazy to change. I eat
my apple a day and know that it is saturated with chemicals I can't
pronounce. The celery stalk is cominated too. The bottle water has plastic
that penetrates our bodies. The chemical soup is all pervasive. I can smell
it when I go to towns like San Antonio and Austin. The pollution is
invisible to most people but my nose and eyes feel it. Even Del Rio is
contaminated from the coal plants in Piedras Negras. It drifts on the wind
into Big Bend. There is no cure for this other than a real pandemic that
culls a few billion people, say 70% of the world population And it does is
over night. Steven King's Stand fictionalized that sort of calamity.
