Those were more innocent times for sure, Roger, before our birth. One time
Hans took a camera on vacation with him to Germany, perhaps Berlin, and I
got to see 10 hours of tape he shot. Prepared me for my trip in the 1980's
and since then on two Viking River tours. This one from 1931 is just views
from the streetcar. I got more variety from Hans' shots. He even took the
camera up some stairs into a steeple to get a city wide shot.

We are still sequestered awaiting an opportunity to get vaccinated. Boring.
I hope Biden paves the way for a smooth rollout. Chances are this pandemic
is just the beginning of a parade of pandemics to come. We may need to have
an ever newer series of vaccines to stay safe.

Trump's fake-news memes make more people, doubtful of science even, more
reluctant to use the vaccine when it does come about. It is as if refusing
the vaccine is as political an act as wearing MAGA caps and going
mask-less. My awareness of our loss of innocence in the US was Nov. 23,
1963. We've never really gotten over that one.
