Interesting the weapon that is easiest to use for someone who is a novice
is a 12 gauge pump shotgun but the spread isn't as good as the 410 pistol.
You don't have to be too good. You have to remember that someone who is
assaulting you can cover 20 feet in a second. A 410 pistol with number 4
shot is recommended by my gun trainer. Smith and Wesson will give you six
rounds of 410 or 45 auto interchangable. It has a very nice spread. You
want a good spread and you want to aim at their head if you can. Remember
that whe you fire you will be deaf. Bear spray and wasp spray aimed at the
head are quite effective if you are facing one attacker. I have a mini 14
and a 30 calibre carbine and a 12 guage pump plus two 9mm hand guns that
are OK but not the best weapon to have. A 357 has more stopping power and
that is what you want in a panic situation.
