I also recall being at the Spoke with Ann and a bunch of others, and and old lefty named Martin Wigginton was babbling on to Ann about not believing in electoral politics. I will never forget the rage with which she said to him, "YOU REALLY GIVE ME THE RED-ASS!"

Memories. I was tied into the Armadillo because my husband/baby daddy ran the beer garden, bar when the place first opened. I had a new baby and recall some lady asking if she could hold her (loud music and lots of people around), and I handed the baby to her and she walked off with her! John went after her and got the baby back. I had mixed feelings about the Dillo. But I loved the Raw deal.

Was she ever! Friday nights were party nights and Ann was always to be
found at the bar with a drink and usually already drunk before the sun
went down.
