In Camp Wood and environs po' folks is skinny on account of they don't 
eat nothing according to Charlie Loving. Nor do they own any shoes 
boughten with their own money  and rely entirely on used charity 
sneakers 'cause they have no money at all. The movies about poor folks 
barely getting by whatever expedients they could devise were all lies, 
just a whitewashing of the real truth that po' folks have nothing at all 
and don't eat on weekends and weekdays except for what volunteers bring 
them.
