Del Rio is still here. The Acuna side is also still there. No tourists
these days most of the gee gaw stores are shuttered and Ma Crosbeys is
closed. All the great photos are stored in hopes of building a museum. Doc
Brinkleys house is there and people remember Wolfman Jack and XERA. .
Bridge traffic is heavy however. The episcopal school has lots of students
from Mexico. Laughlin AFB is still training fighter pilots, the no fly area
over my house has lots of jets zooming about. The commissary has a great
meat market, the butcher was trained at HEB and will get me the cuts I want
for about 50% less than HEB or other meat markets. The BX is also big and
as good as Walmart. Lake Amistad still has bass tournaments. Pesos River
High bridge still attracts people and Langtry is still on the road to
Marathon. There is a great new restaurants in Sanderson.
