Back in the day the oil company would have to drill in place straight
down and then erect oil pumps. So they would have to take your land to
get at the oil. Nowadays, technology has evolved where the oil companies
can drill at an angle and get oil from underground miles away from the
drilling platform . And send the land owner a nice royalty check every
month. One of our subscribers is enjoying that happy situation.
