[AGL] I want to return to the fold

As a life-long Democrat registered voter, it was not pleasant to vote 
for Trump in 2016. (I voted the Green candidate in the Cruz-O'Rourke 
race). Thinking about the possible Dem. candidates, Alexandra 
Ocasio-Cortes strikes me as the most interesting and intelligent. I went 
to her official website but she is staying /stumm/ about her specific 
proposals which shows great discretion. OTOH, in the current fight over 
admissions to Stuyvesant High School the top STEM public high school in 
NYC and possibly nationally, she decries the incoming class of 750 which 
has 9 black admissions as "The face of injustice." The facts are that 
students at Stuyvesant are ~77% Asian, and ~18% white. Whites and Asians 
each make up around 15% of the population of NYC. 70% of the population 
are POC. A great number of the Asian students at Stuyvesant are eligible 
for free or discounted lunch. Almost all of them have spent years at 
modestly priced private cram schools to prepare for the test.
