One good pun deserves a blatantly political play on words.
Best,
Frances

Today on Comments in Alternet to an article about how the policies of the government favor the rich, a good article, I posted the following:

"Did you know that…
The words "race car" spelled backwards still spells "race car"?
"Eat" is the only word that, if you take the 1st letter and move it to the last, spells its past tense, "ate"?

And if you rearrange the letters in "so-called tea party Republicans," and add just a few more letters, it spells: "Shut the ___ up you free-loading, progress-blocking, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, violent, hypocritical jerks, and deal with the fact that you nearly wrecked the country under Bush and that our president is black." (author unknown)

I ran across this wonderful diatribe against the rich party, the Republicans, and those who aspire to become like them just as soon as they win the lottery. The sense of entitlement that the rich display is pure hubris. Bush, GW, rendered the English language nonsensical. Compassionate conservatives, sure!

As for Barack Obama being the peace candidate, he re-apped enough of GWB's policies to make himself seem Republican. How's that war working out for the economy, Barack?

"It's only words and words are all I have to take your heart away," Bee Gees.

Oh yeah, did you know that if you add one letter (and a NAS) to race car you have a NASCAR race card. That is the flip side of black people playing the race card. The drivers shunned the president because he is black--they played the NASCAR race card.
