Sheryl Greer told me that she was at a party when some frats came and threatened to take the two kegs purchased by the host; she said Cissi - who was decked out in a a beautiful green velvet dress-pulled a pistol out of her garter and ran the bastards off.

How I test them out here.
Back in '69, I was at the rocknroll event in Carrolton (?), a three day affair, and there was a campsite nearby next to a lake. Kesey's bus was parked there, and many of us ran around in the buff. The lake had a fair number of redneck boaters gawking at the hippies, and Cis and I were sitting on a log-smoking a doobie. I primly kept my knees together, but not Cissi. Bubba and Joe Bob got the full view of the burning bush! I'm sure it made their day.

I, too, think that those stories are the ones we want...DO write them, Fontaine. All of us who were close to Cissi have those stories and other than admitting to some of our addictions...almost anything goes!
Best,
Margaret Martone

Oh no, au contrair. It would be a great send off that she would like to remember. I'll bet it is one of many such tales.Best,Frances

Very nice. I would have put up a story about me and Cissi running around naked at the "Texas Woodstock" North of Dallas (1969), but it's a tad raunchy for that particular venue. I have another one about Cissi pulling a pistol out of her garter at a party and running off some fratrats. But that may not be appropriate
either....
