I read that book too, Fontaine, she sure is outrageous and funny.
By the way, Mike, Ralph McElroy died a couple of years ago,

Ralph Lee McElroy, age 64, of Austin, passed away on July 26th, 2007.
Ralph was born on August 28, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Homer and
Eleanor McElroy. His family moved to Corpus Christi in 1952, where he
attended public school. He moved to Austin in 1962 to attend The
University of Texas, receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees.
After extensive travels and studies in Europe, he became an
accomplished linguist, returning to Austin in 1968 to start the Ralph
McElroy......
