Connie,

the shoe throwing is low comedy and jibes perfectly
with our first comic book character president (Alfred
E. Neuman).

no alas he aint going to trial. anyway he's history/herstory.

but how 'bout Bernard Madoff? there's a moral in there
somewhere which i am working on

these guys have played it out as CEOs of America. I know they regard
citizens as their lackeys. The secret meetings and lies and arrogance. Maybe
as Nixon said, if the President does it, it isn't illegal.

GWB was a failed CEO before he was elected and was bailed out of his
disasters on more than one occasion. When it was about money or profit, he
could count all his money and indulge himself in a fantasy that he had not
failed. Not this time.

He needs to be held accountable for war crimes, but there seems to be a "cop
out" going on about it.

I don't recall any leader of the free getting the shoe insult.

Connie

I am currently interested in American torture revelations/news - I want to
rub it in to my right wing Christian conservative relatives who were so
wrong to support GW.

Connie

No one ever before ever threw shoes at an American president.
In an interview with Martha Radetz right after the shoe incident
he said that in Iraq al quaida "was becoming defeated."

i wasnt sure i had actually heard it, but that exact phrase in
reproduced in the text transcript on the ABC news site which
has the video of the interview.
