on another subject, we are watching Mike Nichol's Angels in
America. on TWO DVDs, 178 minutes!!!! we watched disk 1 last night.
oddly we both voted for Clinton. 

Meryl Streep so far is OUTSTANDING. Al Pacino as Roy
Cohen the lawyer is quite good, he doesnt look like Pacino,
now that's a good trick for an actor. Meryl Streep also
does a cameo as the ghost of Ethel Rosenberg the executed
Soviet spy.

according to Wikipedia, Cohen actually did pressure the judge
to sentence the Rosenbergs to death. i didnt know that.

Nichols does tricky tracking shots. Cohen and a gay
young Mormon lawyer are drinking at the bar at the
Plaza Hotel. The camera tracks out the window and into
Central Park to where one of the protagonists is having
rough sex with rough trade. and many other cute touches.
