  I have an email for you.. .How does the thought of a McCain-Huckabuck ticket
have for you? Last night while we were listening to the returns this scary
thought hit us both. John thinks that if he utters these thoughts out loud it
will not happen. He is that superstitious. However we were both overwhelmed with
the dread. The feeling Huckabuck will carry the pod people's vote (read
Christian right).
 Did you ever read an essay by V S Naipaul which came out in the 70's about his
attending the Republican Convention which was held in Dallas? Being Naipaul he
rented an un-air-conditioned car to drive from Fort Worth- Dallas Airport in 100
+ degree weather. Well the reason I mention this is that he some interesting
comments on the Christian right and why... I feel we under-estimate their power.
