OFF LIST * * * EYES ONLY

Scott,

I dint realize it was your film until a second
look at your poster. Bland Design indeed.

I am writing off-list hush-hush to ask how
much the tickets are. I would love to see
it since i was around then.

Gilbert Shelton made a movie called i think
Let My Chickens Go or maybe Set My
Chickens Free. can barely remember it.
i think it was drawings bridged by actors
doing stuff in a chicken run. lots of running
around of course and music/narration.

i saw it in a woodworking shop out on
E. 7th owned by Sandy Lockett and i
forget his name, a rich guy with Leicas
and the shakes from the drink who
moved to CA. Connie Clark's friend.

this is over 40 years ago so memory
fails.

Mike

Does anyone remember Joe Brown's ditty about sending him 400 chickens?
He made a sketch to illustrate the event.
Monroe Rust, organ builder, and Sandy Lockett set up a millworks in a metal building next to Charles Maund.
Ed Guinn and I spent a week in their shop, fabricating a sleeper for a long-haul tractor we bought to break into the trucking business.
Their idea of air-conditioning was a perforated watering hose running on the ridge of the metal roof.
The year was 1970.

Tony
