Carmen,

Potter lived in the English countryside so he had
a constant supply of kitten corpses from nearby
farms. He also stuffed a 2-headed monkey, chickens
and domestic ducks with a second set of feet, etc.
And wrote illustrated brochures touting his museum.
The museum was eventually dismantled/dismembered
with the tableaux sold at auction. I don't know if
Potter euthanized the kittens himself, they were more
likely to have been already extinct when he received
them. I doubt they died of natural causes as they look
quite healthy.

How do you feel about duelling squirrels?
