Hi,
Randy and I drove down to the beach to spend some time
looking at birds, ducks and take in coastal-ness.

We had a lovely seafood dinner and then drove down the
beach where revelers built bonfires and shot
fireworks.

The water was black and the sky clear and dark, I was
looking for the Comet Haynes, when Randy pointed out
the glowing waves. Wow. This was the first time I
have actually seen phosphorescent waves. They were
neon blue and popped up out of the black water
randomly, but frequent.

We watched for about an hour, ignoring the fireworks
for the better show nature had to offer.

The phosphorescence is a product of Red Tide algae,
and I noticed tonight I have some irritation in my
throat, havig breathed the algae.

Photo I took of Randy caught one of the waves, quite
by accident.

Happy New Year to my good friends.

Connie
