Frances Morey writes:

Betty was an editor at the UT Press throughout her career, a charter member
of the Good 'Ol Girls annual luncheon and a friend of some of us on the
list. I attended her 66th Birthday at Robis Storm's manse in 1996 on Lake
Buchanan. Later I visited her in her childhood home in Amarillo in 1998. I
also attended her 76th birthday luncheon at the Parson's House assisted
living center dining room which was her last residence while still able
bodied. She was was a sweet, sensitive, and an intelligent woman, and a
steadfast friend.
