but Hee Haw had Dolly Stoneman, Buck Owens, Roy Clark (okay, too commercial
but what a banjo player!). who here in the sublunal world remembers Dolly
Stoneman playing the mandolin and clogging AT THE SAME TIME?

i had the good fortune to hear her in her dad's band the Stoneman Family
playing a long set at Watermelon Park outside Washington DC around 1961.
Dottie's virtuoso fiddler brother was still alive then, later od'ed on h.
The Stanley Bros also played that afternoon, Carter was still alive then,
just them and Curley Seckar on mandolin. Also Reno & Smiley. and one other
band i forget.
