My guiding motto for Spring,
Stop and press the shutter.
Best,
Frances

aaah, the birdwatching community is really into the
SLR digital. I've seen them use them with very long
lenses, shoot pics of birds, then immediately review
them to verify the bird id. And the shots make great
screen savers and desktops. Tadaah.

I have a grab and shoot digital camera - about $250.
The SLR's do not have the delay when the 'shutter' is
released that is so common and a nuisance with the
little inexpensive, non-exchangeable-lens-type digital
that I have. So an SLR digital is really much better
for wildlife photography I would guess. But, they
range from $500 on up. Maybe there is a new Canon
that is only around $400. Then there is the
additional lenses of course.

That's all I know on the subject.

We have goldfinches, seen the cedar waxwing, the downy
but haven't spent much time checking the back yard as
I should. This time of year though, comes through the
nice orange-crowned warbler and myrtles of course. A
large owl is hanging in the neighbors tree behind me,
but I can't quite get a good look at it just beyond
the edge of the roof.

If I throw a reunion type party out at the farm, which
I can't commit to just yet, but maybe in May, then you
and Madelon would of course be invited.

Connie
