[AGL] Eagles Mating Pictures Shot down here

Hey someone caught a rare sight - you've probably seen it in the news
- I'm not sure what these Eagles are doing, but our guess is mating.
Are both the male and female feathered out with full white heads? They
were in the piney woodsy area near the San Jacinto River, east of
town.

What picture?

Yes, mature bald eagles of both sexes have white heads. Hard to tell them
apart. Not surprised that good ol' boys in East Texas would shoot them,
destroy anything that is beautiful. One of the reasons I left the state. See
them here every winter as the river rises (hunting for dead fish). But no
sightings so far this year, the frequent snowfall has limited outdoor
activities. We've been dumped on regularly and all the hills and mountains
have full white heads. I have witnessed a couple of bouts between a large
Northern Harrier who spends winters here and ravens who try to force it down
to the ground so that they can attack it properly, some real high altitude
acrobatics in the winds. This hawk is too swift and canny for the ravens.

I concur that the recent "news" concerning Biden and Nancy is ridiculous
nitpicking. Meanwhile the Impeach Bush and Chaney movement is growing by
leaps and bounds and not a mention of it in any of the major media. Too bad
Molly won't be around to comment on it. One good thing about cancer, it
generally gives those effected and their friends and loved ones a long spell
to face the music and prepare for it. Molly was one of the funniest and most
honest people I have ever met. I started missing her awhile back when the
columns became few and far between. Will never forget the late night
drinking and BS sessions we used to have on First Fridays. What a giant she
was.
