I think the worst betrayal of Diego for Frida to bear was his having sex
with her sister Cristina - the one person she trusted.

Michael-- searching the internet, I found a couple of references to Frida
and Munchhausen's--
basically two therapists agreed on the diagnosis, but this could be just an
educated guess, like most psychiatric diagnoses. The true Munchhasen
sufferer is healthy, but feigns illness and treatment to get attention;
Frida had childhood polio which weakened her limbs, and did have
supercussions from her accident. She also had physical problems related to
alcoholism and drug addiction:

Dr. Salamón Grimberg, Kahlo suffered from Munchausen sydrome - the
compulsion to be hospitalized and, in extreme cases, be mutilated
unnecessarily by surgery."
