Mike-- you have never had an accident? I have had a few, one only a few
months ago. They were mainly my fault (including one that almost killed me,
a collision with an Oak tree out by Zilker Park). I had a few in San
Francisco back in the 60s when senior citizens had a habit of running into
me (I think the dirty blue color of my VW blended in with the sky and they
found me invisible). I would leap out of my car yelling in rage "You hit my
car-- I'll shut up about it if you give me $50." Usually worked, because
they didn't want their insurance company to know the dirty little secret of
their inability to drive straight and stop in time. Now I carry insurance
meticulously fill out forms. I think I'll walk from now on.
